| <<< Back to top | President: Brooke Jacobson Brooke Jacobson holds a Ph.D. in Critical Studies in Film and Television from the University of Southern California. She taught at The Evergreen State College and at Lewis and Clark prior to coming to the Department of Communication at PSU, where she has taught classes in television and film since 1989. Jacobson earned her undergraduate degree in Anthropology at PSU. She was responsible for establishing the Northwest Film and Video Center, and is happy now to see some of her students working there. Brooke has served as President of PSUFA since 2000. “At this point,” says Jacobson, “my central concern is with building new leadership within the union.” |

| <<< Back to top | Secretary-Treasurer: Barbara Branham Barbara Branham currently teaches Life Drawing, and has taught classes in painting and drawing in the Art Department since 1990. She holds a Masters of Art in Teaching and a Master of Fine Arts degree, and came to PSU with and came to PSU with more than 18 years as full-time faculty of the Art Department at Dekalb Community College in Atlanta, Georgia. Branham has served as a PSUFA officer and member of the bargaining team. She manages the list serve, which is a vital link for informing members about their union. |

| <<< Back to top | VP for Collective Bargaining: Margi McCue Margaret McCue is an adjunct in the Women's Studies Dept. teaching classes on domestic and sexual violence. She has 30 years experience working in that field as educator, administrator, program developer, etc. McCue has lectured internationally and nationally and has authored two books on domestic violence. Most recently McCue developed an undergraduate certificate program in domestic/sexual violence for Women's Studies. She has been part of the PSUFA bargaining team since 2001 and in 2005 was Chief Spokesperson for the team. |

| <<< Back to top | VP for Political Action: Kelly Cowan Kelly Cowan received his B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of New Mexico, where he also completed his M.B.A. with a dual concentration in Management of Technology and Marketing Management. He is currently in the Systems Science: Business Administration Ph.D. program at Portland State University, and teaches classes in Marketing Research and Basic Marketing. His primary research interests are in the marketing of clean energy technologies. Cowan is active in key professional associations in his field, the American Marketing Association and Omega Rho. His involvement with university and community organizations has led him to work on various campaigns and initiatives, including a recent presidential campaign, and lobbying efforts to fund university and community programs. He will bring this expertise to bear in local political action programs. |

| <<< Back to top | VP for Membership: Donna Root Donna Root has taught Remedial Reading and Special Education in pre-school, elementary, Jr. High, High school, and adult classes for thirty years. Presently, she is supervising student teachers in the Graduate School of Education at Portland State University. “I look forward to helping adjuncts receive the information and assistance they need to enable them to gain improved working conditions, equity in pay, and benefits. Adjunct faculty members deserve respect as a truly integral part of the university program. |
